The Return

In June and July 2025, Roseline’s family emptied Marcelin and Roseline’s apartment in Montréal and made the necessary arrangements for their return to France. Marcelin and Roseline’s ashes will be placed in Roseline’s family crypt in the south of France. Although it saddens me to know that my friends are gone, I am comforted in the thought that they are together again.

Also going to France are a large number of Marcelin’s paintings and drawings. What the family will do with these works remains to be seen but for those of us living in North America, the market for Cardinal paintings will be largely restricted to the resale market for the foreseeable future. I am planning on maintaining this website for a while yet and I will try and present information about Marcelin’s art as best I can.
